Yadiza Rodriguez
Yadiza is a senior at the Bronx Guild High School and will be a graduate of the class of 2010. She is completing a senior thesis project entitled “Cardiovascular Disease in Children” and is currently enrolled as an intern at Columbia University Medical Center, researching cardiovascular disease issues. She previously interned at the Stevenson Day Care in the Bronx, Sweat Equity Enterprises in Manhattan and B-Happy Day Care in the Bronx. In school she is involved in the senior committee, fundraising and community outreach programs.

My name is Yadiza Rodriguez. I am an eighteen year old girl, with big dreams and high hopes. I come from a family of a lot of support and encouragement, where everything is possible if you work hard for it. I have a brother of four and a sister of ten years of age. I am going to be the first person in my family to graduate high school and go to college.
