Year-long programming

The workshops will be provided to the underserved youth, ages late teens to early 20s, from low-income areas and/or underserved communities of New York. There will be 10 to 15 students in each workshop and the students will participate in at least one workshop each week. The program will have approximately 45 students the first year and over 100 students in the subsequent years.

H.E.A.L.T.H for Youths programs benefit the underserved youth by encouraging the overall growth of the participants and by focusing on the areas of health and life-skills. H.E.A.L.T.H for Youths programs benefit collaborating non-profits, schools and community organizations by providing health and life-skills workshops currently lacking from many after-school programs. This will in turn improve the quality of the after-school programs and enhance the appeal and reputation of these programs. Students enrolled in the summer internship program who are in the New York area, will also participate in workshops during the year.
